metallica opened their bridge school benefit set with a cover of "i just want to celebrate". i wonder what their hard core fans thought? honestly, they seemed a little christian rock band-ish to me.
for me, the highlight of the evening was regina spektor and my morning jacket. and of course the kids. the bridge school serves children with severe physical impairments, and there were several of the students onstage throughout the whole event.i cried at least four or five times. regina spektor was really the awesomest-est because she sang towards the kids mostly, and she seemed very humbled to be there. i liked that. plus, she's cute as can be (and is now on tom's "list")(!!!)

my most favorite dish to cook and eat at home involves using the big metal colander which is my least favorite dish to wash. this is unfortunate.

good news: fall is here; it smells crisp and fresh, and tom made our first batch of cold-weather chilli.
