fyi- in scattergories, my answer of "rahrs" was deemed unacceptable as a "thing found in a fairy tale"
i happen to think that all the beasts in those tales say *something* and it is most probably "rahr". right? right??

(my dad** LOVES ninjas)

** i want to give dad credit....he answered ninja to all of those before he understood the rules fully. he got it as the game progressed.

1. i have been eating a lot of vegetables* lately. and everyone knows what happens to your food after you eat and digest it. and sometimes that waste takes on funny shapes. like seriously...a pre-2006 Scorsese would have fished it out and painted it gold.
i share, because i care people.

2. my parents arrive tonight!

3. today rachel, lucas and i played "creature from the forest". this game consisted of one kid putting a bunch of dead brush on their head, holding up their hands in the "raarrr" position (you know the one)and chasing me around. we have fun.

 

* i made something amazing! i really did! quinoa (i am SO california) with pomegranate, kale, and chick peas. recipe here. it is the YUM!

not really, however....the devil-ettes are supposed to be on NBC news before SNL for a short piece about burlesque.

an email from our fearless leader states...

"NBC shot and interviewed us this past Saturday at the El Cerrito

Looks like we will be on the news this Saturday night at 11pm before Saturday night Live! Of course you know how these things go – it might all get canceled or changed but if you are home that night check it out!"

in other good news, tom is getting a promotion! because he is awesome, that's why. he really puts the MAN in MANager! meow!

oh! shona pointed out how beyonce's new video is pretty much a rip off of an original Gwen Verdon/Bob Fosse piece....which reminded me of how much i love this video:

i would like to take a moment and give props to thanksgiving 2004

i ran across these pics (whilst trying to find a decent face-on, bangs-less photo of me so i could yearbook myself)and had such a visceral warm fuzzy feeling that i wanted to share. this night was a perfect mix of great food (green bean casserole? YUM jenni!),loving friends, wine, GAMES (!) and just a little bit of naked. exactly as it should be.

i got the blog itch again. i was promiscuous with hallie's blog yesterday, so i will blame it on her.

i gotta say, reading some of my previous posts made me worry about my self a little, so i am back and am ready to chronicle the goings-on of my life with the happy flappy-ness that has permeated me lately. i know the sad will come sometimes, but i'm excited to share some of the cool beans shit that is happening right now!

like...the possibility of teaching for rhythm and motion (R&M)! i heart those classes and would LOVE to teach them. the head honcho of R&M watched me take a class friday, and i felt really great about it. she would be a fool to not want me teaching for her. i'm just sayin. AND if i tought at ODC, i would buy a bike and ride to class! YEAH!
